The Lectric XP4 and XPeak2 solve different storage and fit problems. The XP4 has a folding frame and handlebar stem with 20 × 3-inch tires. The XPeak2 uses a full-size frame that does not fold and 26 × 4-inch knobby tires. For Tampa Bay riders, the useful starting point is how the bicycle will fit your home, your body and your daily routine.
This comparison uses shop listings and manufacturer specifications checked October 27, 2026. It is not a hands-on handling or range test. Both bikes deserve a fit and handling check; their motor ratings alone cannot choose the right one for you.
Storage and Transport: Folding Footprint Versus Full Size
The XP4 folds at both its main frame and handlebar stem. Lectric lists a folded size of 37 inches long, 17 inches wide and 29 inches high. Measure your storage area and the opening you must carry it through. A folded package may suit a particular closet or cargo area, but those dimensions do not guarantee that it will fit every car.
The XPeak2 needs space for a full-size bicycle. Check doorways, narrow turns and the route from storage to the street. If stairs are part of that route, consider whether you can safely handle the bike before choosing either model.
Lectric lists the XP4 at 62 lb and XPeak2 at 64.5 lb without their batteries. These are complete bicycles without batteries, not bare frames. XP4 batteries add 7 or 9 lb; the XPeak2 manufacturer listing gives 10.5 lb. Accessories add more. Ask staff to demonstrate handling and battery removal, and check actual carrier, tire-width, wheelbase and vehicle limits for transport.

Frame Geometry, Mounting and Rider Fit
XP4 is offered in Step Over and Step Through layouts. Its suggested rider-height range is 4 ft 10 in to 6 ft 3 in. The XPeak2 High-Step in Tempest Grey has guidance of 5 ft 4 in to 6 ft 5 in; the Stratus White Step-Thru guidance is 5 ft 2 in to 6 ft 3 in. These ranges are starting points, not individual fit guarantees.
Check clearance, reach to the handlebar and brake levers, and how easily you can mount, stop and walk the bike. A lower top tube may make mounting easier for a particular rider, but it does not remove the need to assess balance and reach. Call ahead to ask which frame styles or suitable demonstration bikes are available.

Tires, Suspension and Brake Hardware
The XP4 combines 20 × 3-inch tires with front suspension. The XPeak2 has 26 × 4-inch knobby tires and an RST Renegade fork with 80 mm of travel. These are physical differences worth comparing in person. Tire dimensions and tread do not, by themselves, prove that a bike will feel more comfortable or stable on your route.
Both have hydraulic disc brakes. The XP4 uses 180 mm rotors; XPeak2 uses a 203 mm front rotor and 180 mm rear rotor. Ask for help with fit and controls, and follow the bicycle instructions for tire pressure and setup. Equipment specifications do not establish permission to ride on any particular trail or property.

The standard XP4 has a 500W rear-hub motor rated at 1092W peak and 55Nm, paired with a 500Wh battery. The upgraded XP4 combines a 750W rear hub, 1310W peak and 85Nm with an 840Wh battery. XPeak2 shares those 750W, 1310W peak and 85Nm ratings. It is therefore inaccurate to assume that every XPeak2 is more powerful than every XP4.
Both offer torque-sensing pedal assistance, a thumb throttle and Shimano Altus eight-speed gearing. Compare assistance response during an available demonstration instead of treating a sensor specification as a promise about ride feel.
Lectric advertises up to 50 or 85 miles for the XP4 battery options and up to 60 or 80 miles for XPeak2’s 720Wh or 960Wh options. These are manufacturer maximum estimates, not our test results or a guaranteed comparison. Load, terrain, wind, tire inflation, assist setting and throttle use affect actual range. Plan a reserve for your own trip.
Everyday Errands and Cargo Limits
Both bicycles have a 330 lb total payload rating. Include the rider, carried items and added equipment when planning a setup, and follow all component limits. The XP4 integrated rear rack is rated at 150 lb within that total; the ratings are not additive.
For grocery bags, work gear or other accessories, ask which attachments are compatible and which equipment comes with your chosen package. Do not assume that manufacturer promotional gifts, an XPeak2 rack or fenders are included in the shop order. A payload rating alone does not establish passenger-accessory compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does folding make the XP4 easy to lift?
Folding reduces its storage footprint, but the bike still weighs 62 lb without the battery. Assess the complete load and your own handling needs; a folding hinge is not a lightweight-bike guarantee.
Is XPeak2 the automatic choice for a bigger motor?
No. The upgraded XP4 and XPeak2 both list a 750W rear-hub motor with 1310W peak and 85Nm. Frame fit, storage and equipment remain meaningful differences.
Can the advertised range choose the bike for me?
Use the estimates as context, not a promised trip distance. Compare the actual battery configuration and discuss your route and reserve needs with the shop.
