The Lectric XP Trike2 gives Tampa Bay riders a folding electric tricycle to consider for everyday errands and neighborhood trips. Its low-step frame, upright layout and rear rack are useful starting points, but fit, storage space and handling deserve attention before you choose the Standard 500W or Upgraded 750W version.
Think about where you will park it, how you will move it through doorways and whether you need to load it into a vehicle. Riders in Tampa, Dunedin and St. Petersburg can call Tampa Bay eBikes to ask about a fit check and folding demonstration before ordering.
Check Fit and Control Reach
Lectric suggests a rider height range of 4 ft 10 in to 6 ft 2 in. That is guidance, not a fit guarantee: inseam, reach and your ability to mount and operate the controls matter too. Ask staff to check saddle position, knee clearance and handlebar reach with you.
The Cloud 50 front suspension fork provides 50mm of travel, with preload adjustment and lockout. The telescoping handlebar stem and seatpost offer adjustment. During a fit check, make sure you can comfortably reach the brake levers, half-twist throttle, control pad and removable color TFT display.

Ask for a demonstration of the parking brakes and beginner settings as well as a saddle adjustment. If a demo is available, use staff guidance to practice starting, stopping and slow turns in an appropriate area. A published height range cannot answer those questions on its own.
Folding Size and Transport Weight
Lectric lists unfolded dimensions of 65 inches long, 30 inches wide and 43 inches high. Measure the clear opening of doors and gates, not just the frame of the doorway, and allow space to maneuver. Corners, thresholds and the approach to a storage space can matter as much as the opening width.
Lectric lists folded dimensions of 36.5 inches long, 38 inches wide and 26 inches high. With the front wheel removed, the listed folded width drops to 30 inches, while length and height remain the same. Ask staff to show you the folding sequence and front thru-axle wheel removal using the manufacturer instructions.

The folding mechanism reduces frame length for storage but increases overall width unless the front wheel is detached.
Folding does not make this a lightweight trike. Lectric lists 79 lb without the battery; the standard battery weighs 7 lb and the long-range battery weighs 9 lb. Accessories add weight. Check your lifting plan, vehicle opening and any compatible loading equipment before purchase; do not assume that a folded trike will fit your car.
Rider and Cargo Limits
Lectric lists a maximum total payload of 415 lb and a maximum rider weight of 330 lb. The total limit and each individual component limit must all be respected. More motor power does not increase these published load limits.
The rear rack limit is 75 lb and the front basket limit is 30 lb, within the 415 lb total. These are not extra allowances on top of the total capacity. Ask the shop to help confirm accessory compatibility and how the limits apply to your planned rider and cargo load.

Confirm which baskets, bags or other accessories are included in the quoted build. Manufacturer promotional bundles do not automatically apply to a local store order. Follow the supplied loading instructions and keep each accessory within its own rating.
500W and 750W Options
Tampa Bay eBikes lists the Standard 500W Stratus White version at $1,499 and the Upgraded 750W Stratus White version at $1,799, checked October 20, 2026. That is a $300 difference. Prices may change, and local build and assembly fees apply.
The table uses manufacturer specifications, not a Tampa Bay eBikes ride test. Maximum range is an estimate: rider and cargo load, assist setting, speed, terrain and weather all affect actual distance. Plan a margin for your own trips rather than treating the maximum as a guaranteed daily range.
| Feature | Standard 500W | Upgraded 750W |
| Motor | 500W nominal | 750W nominal |
| Peak | 1092W peak | 1310W peak |
| Torque | 65Nm torque | 85Nm torque |
| Battery | 48V 13Ah | 48V 17.5Ah |
| Energy | 624Wh capacity | 840Wh capacity |
| Sensing | Cadence sensing | Switchable sensor |
| Top speed | 14mph maximum | 17mph maximum |
| Max range | Up to 50mi | Up to 70mi |
The standard model uses cadence sensing, responding to pedal rotation. The 750W version lets you select torque or cadence sensing; torque mode responds to pedaling effort. Try the available modes during a permitted demo to decide which response you prefer. Both versions also have a half-twist throttle and single-speed chain drivetrain.

Learn the Trike’s Controls
A three-wheel trike handles differently from a two-wheel bicycle. Slow down before turns and follow Lectric’s riding instructions. Ask for a demonstration of steering, stopping and parking rather than assuming bicycle experience will transfer directly.
A trike is not tip-proof. Suitability depends on the rider, fit and intended use; three wheels alone do not establish that it is appropriate for every person or route.
Both versions have a Beginner Preset that limits Eco and Tour modes to 5 mph. They also have a rear differential that supplies power to both rear wheels, hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors, and parking brakes. Have staff explain these controls before your first ride.
Both versions have 20×2.5-inch tires, a headlight, rear lighting, a brake light and turn signals. These features do not establish permission to use a particular path. Check the current rules for your intended route before riding.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which version is better for everyday Tampa Bay riding?
Start with fit, storage and your expected trips. The standard version has cadence sensing and a 624Wh battery. The 750W version adds selectable torque sensing, higher listed torque and an 840Wh battery. Both share the published frame dimensions and payload limits.
Will it fit through a doorway or into a vehicle?
The unfolded width is listed as 30 inches. Folded dimensions are 36.5 × 38 × 26 inches, or 36.5 × 30 × 26 inches with the front wheel removed. Measure usable openings and maneuvering space, and ask for a demonstration before assuming it will fit.
How heavy is it when folded or transported?
Lectric lists the complete trike at 79 lb without the battery, not just the bare frame. The battery adds 7 lb for the standard model or 9 lb for the long-range version. Confirm the actual equipped weight and a practical loading method before purchase.
What are the payload limits?
The total payload limit is 415 lb, with a maximum rider weight of 330 lb. The rear rack’s 75 lb limit and front basket’s 30 lb limit sit within the total, rather than being added to it.
What should shoppers confirm during a showroom visit?
Check saddle and handlebar fit, brake-lever reach, folding steps and whether you can move the trike comfortably. Confirm the exact performance option, included accessories, assembly fees and demo availability with staff.
Is the trike suitable for every rider or route?
No single trike is suitable for every rider or route. Check fit and handling with staff, follow manufacturer instructions, and verify the rules for the place you intend to ride.
